Human Biology for Everyone
How much more could you do for your self or your clients if you knew:

> where organs are and what their function is

> how systems affect each other, interacting in constant, complex ways

> how the human body works to maintain harmony [homeostasis] and the systems that are involved in this homeostasis

> when do you want a stronger immune response and when will a stronger immune response kill you

> current clinical knowledge about the interaction of energy and body systems

How much will you be able to do for your clients when you know the language of traditional medicine?

FOR ENERGY HEALERS: When you complete the A&P series, you will be able to:

* interpret which organs might be involved in a perceived "hot spot" - even organs in another part of the body

* guide your clients in understanding their clinical test results and doctor's comments and diagnoses

* show how your expertise intersects and complements your client's traditional medical care.

Here are some questions we will answer in class - either the live class or the CD: [The answers may not be what you think....]

1.You see energy weakness at what you know to be the location of your client’s left kidney. You ask him if he has had his blood pressure checked lately. WHY? Be specific.
2.Where is his left kidney, precisely?
3. Why is it so important for you to maintain a proper acid-base balance in your body? How do the lungs, kidneys and bones contribute to this?
4.T/F The primary body system that uses calcium in its functions is the skeletal system.
5. You have a serious bout of dysentery or have an intestinal disease. As a result, your blood does not clot as quickly as normal. Why is this? What is not being created or absorbed? What specific component of your intestinal system is malfunctioning?
6. What body system is the pancreas part of?
7. What exactly does insulin resistance mean? What serious disease is this a precursor to? How does this relate to transport across the cell’s plasma membrane? What chakras and body systems would you expect to be affected in a person with this situation?
8. T/F Excess glucose is removed from the blood after a meal and stored in the liver in the form of glucagon.
9. Your client says that he just had his spleen removed. What results will you see in his physical body as you scan?
10. The popular media refers to our “reptile brain.” What specific structures is this referring to? Is there really a reptile brain that operates separately from the thinking brain? Why or why not?
11. Why specifically do we frequently feel hungry when we are actually thirsty?
12. How is it possible for adrenalin to flood through my body mere milliseconds after the red SUV flashes in my peripheral vision?
13. Why does it take a millisecond for me to flare up and much longer for my physiology to calm?
14. A person can have a hand severed and have the nerves that served that hand partially or completely regrow, yet very few paraplegics will walk again. Why don’t their nerves regrow?
15. Men know that testosterone has many masculinizing effects on their bodies, so they think that taking supplements will prevent aging effects on their physical manliness. Your client has been overdosing on testosterone [and it doesn’t take much to OD]. He is distressed to see his body feminizing. What is happening? What other effects, that are not obvious, does OD’ing on testosterone have on the physical body?
16.The previous question is part of a pattern of problems when hormones are monkeyed with as if each hormone works independently. What organ prevents hormones from changing their values independently? What chakra includes this hormone?
17.Many menopausal women feel fatigue and want estrogen supplements – focusing on their reproductive organs. What other organ’s function needs to be tested?

You are in good hands with an experienced A&P college professor who is also a Master Teacher of Usui Reiki Energy Healing and familiar with many other energy healing techniques.

Class is divided into 3 functional areas:

Taste, smell and pheromones. Immune system elements in these systems. How blood clots.

Focus on Movement and Communication
Endocrine/hormonal systems, menopause, muscules and tendons/ligaments and how they need to heal, how the nervous system controls hormones and muscles, the structure of neurons and mental and nerve diseases, the central nervous system of brain, the blood-brain barrier, the peripheral nervous system that interacts with the environment, the sense of balance and touch.
